Bologna, Genoa, & Fiorentina vying for Junya Ito with Reims open to sale | OneFootball

Reims are preparing for a major squad overhaul after their relegation to Ligue 2 was confirmed following Lyon’s successful DNCG appeal. Junya Ito could be one of the first players to depart the Champagne Region.

The Japan international is under contract until 2026 but Reims are open to a sale this summer to avoid losing him for free next year. According to Foot Mercato, interest is building in Italy. Bologna were the first to move and opened preliminary talks in June. Meanwhile, both Genoa and Fiorentina are also keeping tabs on the Japan international. Patrick Vieira is reportedly looking for more dynamism in attack while Stefano Pioli’s side have also added Ito to their shortlist.Ito played in 33 matches last season in Ligue 1, scoring on four occasions as one of the main attacking outlets in a struggling Champenois side which were relegated via the play-offs courtesy of FC Metz’s promotion to Ligue 1.
