According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, bookmakers envisage a Leeds United last laugh, with survival odds firming despite FA Cup markets leaning towards West Ham. Daniel Farke’s side have seven league games to secure Premier League status.

The first match after the international break is the FA Cup quarter-final at West Ham, a 4.30pm kick-off at the London Stadium on Sunday, April 5. League action then resumes on the second Monday in April, when Leeds visit Manchester United for an 8pm start at Old Trafford.

Early prices make West Ham narrow favourites for the tie at a best-priced 29-20, with Leeds 9-5 and the draw 13-5. To progress, the Irons are 4-5, Leeds are evens.

In the league picture, West Ham remain in the third and final relegation place, four points behind 15th-placed Leeds. Despite favouring West Ham in the cup, the odds still point to Leeds staying up and the Irons going down.

In what is viewed as a four-way scrap to avoid third-bottom, Tottenham’s relegation price has shortened, while West Ham are third favourites to go down at a best-priced 5-4. Burnley and Wolves are 1-200 and seen as virtually relegated.

Spurs are as short as 5-4 with some firms but as big as 9-5 with others, shorter than both Nottingham Forest and Leeds, whose survival bids have been given fresh backing. Forest are now as big as 13-2 to be relegated, with Leeds longer at a best-priced 8-1.

There is then a sizeable jump to Crystal Palace at 200-1, and a bigger gap to Sunderland and Brighton at 500s.
