Sport Bild (via @bvbnewsblog) reports that Borussia Dortmund are stalling on a move for Manchester City winger Oscar Bobb, as the overall package will be too much for them.
Previously, it was reported that Dortmund were close to completing a move for the 22-year-old, but that seems not to be the case.
The reason that die Schwarzgelben are stalling on the matter is that a move would prove to be too expensive. The initial loan will include a €30m buy option at the end of it, add to this the salary and other fees, and it would take the cost of the move to over €70m.
Dortmund have not completely closed the door on the signing of Bobb, but as of right now, it is unlikely for a move to happen.
Despite postponing a potential signing of Bobb, Niko Kovac’s side still needs additional numbers in attack.
At times, they can prove to be rather one-dimensional with Karim Adeyemi and Maximilian Beier alongside Serhou Guirassy. The addition of a more creative attacker could be the difference-maker later in the season.
