After months of uncertainty, a decision on Nico Schlotterbeck’s Borussia Dortmund future, including a possible extension beyond 2027, is expected soon.
Sport Bild reports that a decisive mid-March meeting will bring together the defender, his representatives and club officials.

The entire BVB hierarchy is due to attend, with the club aiming to use emotional appeal rather than numbers to convince the 26-year-old.
Schlotterbeck’s stance remains unclear, and leading clubs such as Real Madrid and Liverpool are said to be monitoring his situation.
Even if he declines an extension, he could remain with Dortmund for another season before leaving on a free transfer in 2027.
