Borussia Dortmund up offer for Brazilian defensive gem Kaua Prates to €13m

Sky Germany reports that Borussia Dortmund have upped their offer for Brazilian left-back Kaua Prates of Cruzeiro to €13m. The Bundesliga outfit has already seen a €10m offer for the 17-year-old defensive talent rejected. Dortmund apparently are adamant about getting the deal done soon.

Will Kaua Prates transfer to Borussia Dortmund?

The Sky report claims that talks with the youngster’s Brazilian outfit are at an “advanced stage“. Dortmund are set to lose young left back Almugera Kabar to Hamburger SV soon and wish to procure a prospective replacement as soon as possible. Dortmund’s transfer budget obviously allows for an even higher offer should Prates’ club wish to haggle further.

All reports on the transfer talks suggest that Dortmund are looking to officially acquire Prates ahead of next season, meaning that Cruzeiro can still retain their player for a few more months. Conditions thus appear favorable to all parties involved and a deal should be concluded soon.
