Bournemouth investigating social media posts allegedly sent by Alex Jimenez to 15-year-old girl | OneFootball

Bournemouth are investigating social media posts that appear to show right-back Alex Jimenez exchanging messages with an underage girl.

“The club has to do their investigations and see what has really happened. We will then move from there. I hope it’s not what we think,” head coach Andoni Iraola told BBC Radio Solent.

Instagram screenshots circulating online seem to depict Jimenez and a female discussing meeting up. In the alleged exchange, she says she is 15, and Jimenez, 21, is said to reply that it matters to him, that he likes smaller girls, and that he has never been with someone aged 15.

The club said on Friday they understood the seriousness of the matter and would make no further comment for now. They added Jimenez would not be included in the squad for Saturday’s Premier League match against Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Jimenez joined Bournemouth from Milan in the summer of 2025 on an initial loan that has since been made permanent.

The Spain youth international has made 33 appearances in all competitions this season.
