Bournemouth host Leeds United on Wednesday night as they chase a historic finish to an incredible campaign.
The Cherries chase European qualification after extending their record-breaking unbeaten run to thirteen matches. Recent victories against Arsenal and Newcastle have propelled the side into eighth place. They currently sit level on points with Chelsea and Brentford in a tight table.
However, Andoni Iraola’s side must fix their home form to stay in the continental hunt. They have drawn four consecutive matches at the Vitality Stadium and seek an elusive home win tonight.
Leeds, meanwhile, look to secure their top-flight status following back-to-back victories against Manchester United and Wolves. The Whites carry an eight-point cushion over the relegation zone with five games remaining.
Daniel Farke’s men remain unbeaten in their last five away fixtures in the Premier League. They are looking for their first consecutive top-flight away wins since April 2022. A victory today would likely seal their survival and allow a focus on the upcoming FA Cup semi-final.
The hosts remain without Justin Kluivert for this midweek encounter. Lewis Cook and Julio Soler could return to the squad after training this week. In their absence, Alex Scott and Ryan Christie have performed admirably in the midfield engine room. That said, Tyler Adams may start on the bench against his former club tonight.
Daniel James and Joe Rodon are both fit and available for selection. Anton Stach misses the trip as he recovers from an ankle injury sustained in the FA Cup. Farke expects the rest of the squad to travel to the south coast. Noah Okafor should keep his place after scoring in his last two away games.
Bournemouth have drawn four consecutive home games at the Vitality Stadium. They have not beaten a promoted side in five attempts this season. However, they have opened the scoring in five of their last seven matches. Their win ratio against Leeds historically stands at a lowly 13 per cent.
The Whites are unbeaten in eight away games across all competitions. They recently booked an FA Cup semi-final spot after beating West Ham. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has scored in three consecutive away matches this term. Daniel Farke has never lost a Premier League game against Bournemouth in three meetings.
Bournemouth Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Petrovic; Jimenez, Hill, Senesi, Truffert; Scott, Christie; Rayan, Kroupi, Tavernier; Evanilson
Leeds United Predicted XI (4-4-2): Darlow; Justin, Bijol, Struijk, Bogle; Ampadu, Tanaka, Gudmundsson, Aaronson; Okafor, Calvert-Lewin
