Bournemouth welcome Liverpool to the south coast with both clubs searching for stability in a Premier League campaign that has veered off script. For the Cherries, the mood is uneasy. Sitting 15th and winless in all but one of their last 14 matches in all competitions, Andoni Iraola is under pressure to rediscover momentum, especially after losing Antoine Semenyo to Manchester City.
Liverpool, meanwhile, arrive as reigning champions under Arne Slot, but their season has been blighted by injuries and uneven form. The Dutchman’s first year brought a Premier League title in 2024-25, yet expectations at Anfield mean even a minor dip attracts scrutiny. This trip to the Vitality Stadium feels like one of those awkward fixtures that offer little glamour but plenty of potential pitfalls.
Bournemouth vs Liverpool is scheduled for a 5.30pm GMT kick-off on Saturday, January 25, 2026, at the Vitality Stadium.
In the UK, the game will be shown live on Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Main Event, with coverage beginning at 5pm. Fans can also stream the match via the Sky Go app.

Liverpool’s injury list continues to test Slot’s patience. Federico Chiesa missed the midweek visit to Marseille after picking up a problem in training, though the manager played down concerns.
Slot explained: “We thought it was good for him to have his treatment over here and we were hoping that maybe he would have been fit in time. But he wasn’t.
“He tried in the warm-up and he wasn’t able to play. That’s why he wasn’t on the bench.”
Speaking again before the Bournemouth match, Slot added: “Federico wasn’t able to be on the bench at Marseille.
“We have to wait and see today. It’s difficult to say if he’s available. It’s 50-50. For the rest, no-one picked up a knock after the game. I expect all the same players to be available again.”
Elsewhere, Alexander Isak faces months out with a broken leg, while Conor Bradley and Giovanni Leoni are both expected to miss the rest of the season with knee injuries.
Bournemouth are hardly in better shape. Marcus Tavernier is the latest casualty after suffering a hamstring problem against Brighton. Justin Kluivert, Ben Gannon-Doak and Tyler Adams remain sidelined, Enes Unal is out until the end of the month, and David Brooks is a doubt with an ankle issue.
There could be a debut for Alex Toth, the 20-year-old Hungary midfielder who arrived from Ferencvaros this week.
Neither side arrives in sparkling form, which suggests this may be more about control than chaos. Bournemouth’s problems are structural as much as physical, and the absence of Semenyo has removed a major outlet. Iraola’s pressing style looks blunted without his key attackers.
Liverpool, for all their pedigree, face a demanding turnaround after travelling to Marseille. Slot’s squad depth has been stretched, and the usual fluidity in attack has given way to cautious buildup.
This feels like a fixture where both managers would quietly accept a point. Liverpool still look the likelier winners on paper, but energy levels and injuries could level the playing field.
Prediction: Draw, 1-1.
Head to head record in the Premier League remains firmly in Liverpool’s favour, with 19 wins compared to Bournemouth’s two, plus two draws. History suggests a Reds victory, yet current form points towards a stalemate.
