Brady: Inter must be wary of Saka ‘danger’ but Arsenal lack ‘discipline’ | OneFootball

Ex-Arsenal star Liam Brady considers Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka the main ‘danger’ for Inter in their Champions League meeting at the San Siro on Wednesday but insisted that Mikel Arteta’s side will ‘risk’ if they don’t raise ‘the standard’.

The former Gunners player, who also had stints in Serie A for Inter and Juventus, criticised the Londo outfit’s performance at Newcastle, claiming that they played ‘very badly’, far from the level they showed last season.

Brady also identified Martin Odegaard as the player whose absence has made Arsenal ‘more predictable’, but the Norway international was called up for the first time after picking up an ankle injury in September and travelled to Milan with his team.

“Let’s start with Arsenal, who have changed,” Liam Brady told Gazzetta dello Sport in an interview.

“Without Odegaard, they became more predictable and their rivals found countermeasures.

“Saka remains the number one danger for Inter; he’s unpredictable and good at set-pieces. Also, the team lack discipline, they received three red cards so far.

“They played very badly against Newcastle, while they kept a very high level last season. If this is the standard, they’ll face a risk against Inter…”

As much as his side are going through a troubled moment, coach Arteta claimed his side are determined to ‘try and win’ at San Siro, also recognising Inter’s ‘strong identity’.

Both the Gunners and the Nerazzurri racked up seven points from their opening three Champions League games, and they’ll have a chance to move to the first positions of the table by getting a win.
