André Correia is leaving Benfica’s futsal team, with Braga among the clubs interested in signing the goalkeeper. According to Glorioso 1904, his second spell at the Luz is ending and a move to Minho could follow.
Joel Rocha’s side are seeking more than one goalkeeper for 2026/27. Braga have already lost two keepers this window, with Dudu Felten departing for Anderlecht at the end of the season and back-up Leandro Costa joining Porto. There is urgency to complete deals, and Rocha’s past work with Correia at Benfica may help.
Correia served as the main understudy to Léo Gugiel this term and contributed in key moments of the campaign. Head coach Cassiano Klein publicly praised him after the title triumph.
Despite his impact, Benfica are refreshing their goalkeeping options. Alongside Gugiel, Klein will have Matheus Assunção, a major addition who will share starts with his compatriot, while Vasco Pinto becomes third choice after Diogo Carrera’s move to AMSAC.
Across his Benfica spells, the 28-year-old has made 76 appearances, scoring once and providing five assists. His honours include three national championships, four League Cups, two Portuguese Cups and one Super Cup.
