BREAKING: Chelsea set £120m asking price for Enzo Fernandez according to top insider | OneFootball

Chelsea don’t want to sell Enzo Fernandez, and have set a high asking price to try and ward off suitors. We’ll see if it works.

Enzo Fernandez’s move away from Chelsea is already well set up to be the big saga of the summer, and we’ve now got some information about it from top insider Ben Jacobs.

The journalist claims that Chelsea value Enzo at £120m, and would prefer to keep him. However Jacobs says that he “understands Fernandez wants to leave”, and would “welcome a Real Madrid bid.”

On the Man City front, “nothing is advancing,” despite former Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca’s impending appointment.

This whole move is poised in a fascinating way right now. It all depends on whether Real Madrid come in with a big offer right away. If they start messing around with bids at £80m, Chelsea are just going to shut them down.

It would then be over to Enzo – does he start kicking up a fuss and trying to force the move? Or will he be willing to play another season at Chelsea and hope that the asking price starts to drop to a point where Madrid can move?

He doesn’t seem like the type to hesitate to mutiny if he doesn’t get his way…
