Orlando Pirates have announced the double signing of Daniel Msendami and Mpho Chabatsane from Marumo Gallants on permanent transfers.
The 25-year-old tricky winger joined Bahlabane Ba Ntwa in July 2024 on the back of eye-catching performances with Botswana giants Jwaneng Galaxy.
Msendami chipped in with four goals and three assists in 49 matches across all competitions for the Bloemfontein-based Gallants.
As a result, the Zimbabwe international was subject to interest from Soweto rivals Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs, but it was the Buccaneers who landed his signature.
Meanwhile, Chabatsane also signed for Gallants in July 2024 from Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit Casric Stars.
The 23-year-old South African defender went on to establish himself in the starting XI, making a total of 34 appearances in all competitions, with two assists in the process.
Chabatsane, who can turn out as a left-back and as a centre-back, is expected to fill the void left by Mbekezeli Mbokazi, who found a new home with Chicago Fire in the Major League Soccer (MLS).
Pirates, who are two points clear at the summit of the Betway Premiership table, will return to action with a clash against Sekhukhune United on 24 January after the ongoing AFCON in Morocco.
