Brentford face horror season run-in as new Premier League fixtures revealed

Keith Andrews’ Bees begin and end 2026/27 campaign with high-profile London derbies

Having lost their manager and captain, and two key attacking talents, the Bees were tipped by some for relegation last term.

Instead, under the guidance of rookie head coach Keith Andrews, they finished ninth and took the scalps of the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Aston Villa along the way.

Andrews did have a tricky start last year, winning only one of his first five matches in charge, and this season Brentford begin against a Spurs team that took Thomas Frank from them, only to then sack him just under eight months later.

Brentford’s first away trip is to Leeds, with Sunderland the second visitors to the Gtech Community Stadium before the Bees then go on the road to Bournemouth.

Their first London derby will see them entertain Xabi Alonso’s Chelsea on September 19.

They meet Premier League champions Arsenal at home on December 2, later going to the Emirates Stadium on January 6.

The traditional festive period will see Brentford take on two newly-promoted teams in Ipswich and Coventry, both away.

Their first game of 2027 is at home to Conference League winners Crystal Palace, and the season concludes with games against Manchester City, Aston Villa, Liverpool and Chelsea all to come in a May gauntlet.
