Brentford will be aiming to pull off another famous scalp on Sunday when they host a Manchester City side looking for consistency at the Gtech Community Stadium.
The Bees are full of confidence after a superb 3-1 win over Manchester United last weekend. The Citizens, in contrast, are seeking to turn recent draws into a victory to keep pace with the league leaders.
Brentford have been handed a significant double fitness boost, with both Fábio Carvalho and Reiss Nelson available for selection after recovering from knee and illness issues respectively. Gustavo Nunes has also returned to training, though Paris Maghoma remains out.
Pep Guardiola has reported no new injury concerns following the midweek draw with Monaco. Key midfielder Rodri is available but may have his minutes managed. Sávio and Bernardo Silva are expected to be recalled to the starting XI, but the team is still without Abdukodir Khusanov, Omar Marmoush, and Rayan Aït-Nouri.
The Bees are in excellent form, having won four of their last six home league games. Their 3-1 victory over Manchester United last weekend was their most impressive performance of the season. Furthermore, they are one of the most clinical teams in the league, boasting the second-highest shot conversion rate.
City are unbeaten in their last six matches but have drawn their last two important games against Arsenal and Monaco. A concerning trend has seen them fail to win their last two away league games despite leading for long periods. A victory here would be a record-breaking 250th top-flight win for Pep Guardiola with the club.
Brentford predicted XI: Kelleher; Kayode, Collins, Van den Berg, Hickey; Henderson, Yarmolyuk; Ouattara, Damsgaard, Schade; Thiago
Manchester City predicted XI: Donnarumma; Stones, Dias, Gvardiol, O’Reilly; Rodri; Reijnders, Foden, Savinho, Doku; Haaland
The match will be broadcast live in the UK on Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Premier League, and Sky Sports Ultra HDR, with coverage starting at 4:00 pm BST.
