Bretos continues transfer work as Real Sociedad visit Birmingham | OneFootball

Real Sociedad are in Birmingham for two pre-season friendlies against Wolves and Aston Villa, with Erik Bretos continuing transfer work from the city.

According to Diario Vasco, they face Wolves at the Bescot Stadium in Walsall at 18:00 on Saturday, then Aston Villa at 20:30 on Tuesday.

Takefusa Kubo and Luka Sucic remain out despite being with the group.

The club have confirmed the departure of Carlos Fernández, and Matarazzo looks set to take further decisions on exits in the coming days, with Aihen, Javi López and Karrikaburu among those referenced. The player from Elizondo is certain to leave, while the two full-backs do not have their futures assured in Donostia.

Bretos is leading the travelling party as head of football, while president Jokin Aperribay has not made the trip. Aitor Díaz de Mendibil is acting as the club’s institutional representative in Birmingham.
