Brighton & Hove Albion travel to Old Trafford on Saturday aiming to continue their astonishing recent dominance over Manchester United.
The Seagulls are looking for a fourth consecutive victory at the Theatre of Dreams, a feat last achieved by Manchester City over 50 years ago. Their overall record is equally impressive, having won six of the last seven league encounters.
Fabian Hürzeler’s side arrive in good form, having lost just one of their last eight games in all competitions. They secured a solid 2-1 win against Newcastle last weekend. While they still struggle to keep clean sheets – managing just one in their last 20 league games – their attacking threat and recent history give them every reason to be confident.
Fabian Hürzeler has received welcome news on the injury front. Midfielder Diego Gomez is fully fit despite being withdrawn last weekend. Additionally, key attackers Brajan Gruda and Kaoru Mitoma, along with defender Joël Veltman, are all close to returning and could feature in the squad. However, Jack Hinshelwood, Solly March, and Adam Webster remain sidelined. Danny Welbeck is pushing for a start after his brace against Newcastle; his six career goals against Manchester United is his joint-most against any Premier League opponent.
Brighton predicted XI: Verbruggen; Wieffer, Van Hecke, Dunk, De Cuyper; Baleba, Ayari; Minteh, Rutter, Gómez; Welbeck.
The Premier League fixture will take place at Old Trafford on Saturday, 25 October 2025, with kick-off scheduled for 5:30 pm BST.
The match will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League, with coverage from 5:00 pm BST.
