Bruma has been out of José Mourinho's plans at Benfica due to injury, and his comeback could be near. Record reports that the No 7 has an adductor tear, sidelining him for about two months, and he has moved from gym work to running on the grass.
His last appearance to Benfica fans came in the first leg of the play-off to reach the Champions League last 16 against Real Madrid, when he stayed on the bench. He has not been named in a matchday squad since.
Before the trip to Gil Vicente, Mourinho said the 31-year-old winger was injured, without specifying the issue.
He is now in the final phase of recovery, and there is hope he could be available as Benfica resume action. It is possible Mourinho could call on him against Casa Pia or Nacional.
This season, Bruma, valued at 5 million euros, only logged his first, limited minutes after returning from injury against Tondela in February. He now faces this fresh setback but aims to be back in regular contention.
