Bruno Fernandes, Gabriel and Haaland on Premier League Player of the Season shortlist

The Premier League has named eight nominees for its 2025-2026 Player of the Season award, with three from Arsenal and two from Manchester City. The announcement comes with Arsenal leading City into the final two matches of a fierce title race.

Arsenal's trio comprises goalkeeper David Raya, who has 18 clean sheets, centre-back Gabriel and midfielder Declan Rice.

City are represented by winger Antoine Semenyo, on 16 goals after beginning the campaign with Bournemouth, and striker Erling Haaland, who has 26 goals and eight assists.

The other nominees are Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes, with eight goals and 19 assists, Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White on 13 goals and four assists, and Brentford's Brazilian forward Igor Thiago with 22 goals.

Public voting will be combined with a panel of football experts to decide the winner, who will be announced next week. The winner will succeed Mohamed Salah.
