Matchday 27 delivered comebacks and sackings, headlined by Dortmund’s 3-2 turnaround and Sebastian Kehl’s exit, plus Wolfsburg’s slide and Köln’s change. As reported by Get German Football News, Bayern, Stuttgart and Leipzig also won.
BVB trailed Hamburg 0-2 at half-time, then levelled through two Ramy Bensebaini penalties. The first followed a VAR check on ankle contact with Maximilian Beier that felt harsh on HSV, the second punished a close-range handball.
Serhou Guirassy bundled the winner after Daniel Heuer Fernandes parried a header. Dortmund are second, eight points clear of Stuttgart. BVB later announced sporting director Sebastian Kehl had stepped down by mutual consent after more than 20 years at the club.
Wolfsburg lost to Werder Bremen as Justin Njinmah struck late, lifting Bremen to 14th and leaving the hosts five points from safety with seven to play. Dieter Hecking rued imprecision in the final third and missed chances.
Köln sacked Lukas Kwasniok after a 3-3 draw with Borussia Mönchengladbach, installing assistant René Wagner as interim. Wagner worked with Steffen Baumgart at Paderborn and later at Köln, Hamburg and Union Berlin. Köln are 15th, two points above the play-off, with two wins in five months.
Bayern beat Union Berlin 4-0, with Serge Gnabry scoring twice alongside Michael Olise and Harry Kane. Stuttgart thrashed Augsburg 5-2, while RB Leipzig dismantled Hoffenheim 5-0.
