Al Ahly to welcome back key player against JS Kabylie in CAF Champions League

Egyptian giants Al Ahly will host Jeunesse Sportive de Kabylie this Saturday in a clash marking the opening round of the group stage of the CAF Champions League for the 2025-2026 season.

In this derby, Africa’s top club of the 20th century will be able to count on their powerhouse, Emam Ashour, who hasn’t featured since the match against Enppi on September 14, which was part of the sixth round of the domestic league.

After suffering from a viral infection, the former Al Zamalek player missed Al Ahly’s recent outings, both in the Egyptian Premier League and the CAF Champions League.

According to the Arabic-language newspaper Ahram, Emam Ashour is expected to get some minutes under his belt during the showdown with Jeunesse Sportive de Kabylie.
