CAF Champions League: Hakim Ziyech criticizes refereeing after Wydad defeat

After the 1-2 defeat suffered by Wydad Athletic Club against Maniema Union in the fourth round of the CAF Champions League group stage, Hakim Ziyech launched scathing criticism at the match officials.Ziyech commented sarcastically on his social media accounts: "Welcome to Africa." The 32-year-old added: "... where a second yellow card is given to the goalkeeper... then you pretend you gave it to the defender." The Moroccan international was visibly furious, wrapping up his remarks with: "The level of these referees" accompanied by a disappointed emoji.
