Stade d’Abidjan clinched qualification for the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Stade Robert Champroux. The Ivorian side defeated Côte d’Or 3-1 in the return leg, having already taken a 2-0 lead from the first leg.

The Ivorians had already put themselves in a strong position after the first leg in Victoria, Seychelles, with a 2-0 victory. They confirmed their dominance at home, winning 3-1 at Stade Robert Champroux. Samaké Nze Bagnama netted a brace in the 12th and 43rd minutes, before Sangaré Djakaridja sealed the lead just before halftime. Côte d’Or pulled one back in the second half with a fine effort from Mbolatovo, but never truly threatened the Ivorian qualification.

With an aggregate score of 5-1, Stade d’Abidjan books their ticket for the second qualifying round of the CAF Champions League, where the competition is set to intensify.
