Celtic are on their way back to Glasgow with a brilliant three points after tonight’s away win against Feyenoord in the Europa League.

It was a victory which the Hoops thoroughly deserved, with every player playing their part to make sure the Hoops left Holland with the best possible result.

Speaking to Celtic TV after the game, captain Callum McGregor could not hide the pride that he felt towards his teammates for their display tonight.

“The team were fantastic.” He said. “They showed every facet of the game that you need.

“To come here and get a win like that was outstanding.

‘The team played with so much bravery on the ball and against the ball.’

“We pressed at the right times and made some really good blocks and tackles when needed.

“I thought we were outstanding and good value for the win as well.”

The victory will undoubtedly give Celtic confidence going in to their next European match, which comes in a fortnight’s time at Celtic Park when AS Roma travel to Glasgow’s East End.

It is also a result which sets the Hoops up nicely for their trip to Easter Road on Sunday to face Hibs, a match which is now at the forefront of McGregor’s thoughts.

He added: “We have to keep going. We’ve been building for a few weeks now.

“We didn’t do ourselves justice the last time we came away in Europe so we spoke about trying to rectify that.

“It’s been a really good night and hopefully everyone enjoyed it, the supporters at home and the guys who travelled as well.

“They can enjoy that but now we have to recover ahead of a massive game on Sunday.”
