Group D of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN 2025) will bring together Senegal, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Benin, and Botswana.

The Lions and the Leopards appear to be the favorites to claim the top two spots and secure qualification for the round of 16.

Below are the four players to watch in this group D.

Sadio Mané (Senegal)

The Al Nassr star striker will be aiming to lead the Lions to a second Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) title, following their triumph in 2021.

At 33 years old, Sadio Mané has earned 117 international caps, recording 50 goals and 26 assists.

Cédric Bakambu (DR Congo)

The Real Betis forward will most likely play his final CAN, hoping to end the Leopards' title drought that has lasted since 1974.

He has 63 appearances for the national team, with 20 goals and 6 assists to his name.

Gape Mohutsiwa (Botswana)

The MC Oran defensive midfielder is the leader of a Botswana side eager to cause an upset at CAN.
