Carlos Espí signs for Real Madrid from Levante on five-year contract

Real Madrid have signed Carlos Espí from Levante on a five-year deal to 30 June 2031, the clubs said in statements. The transfer is the biggest sale of a Levante academy product in the club’s history.
Espí, 21, joined Levante in summer 2022 at youth level and quickly became integral, helping Juvenil A win their league title.
He made his first-team debut on 18 February 2024 against Racing Club de Ferrol at A Malata. The following season he played 36 LaLiga Hypermotion matches, scoring six, as Levante secured promotion.
In the top flight, the Valencian forward featured in 25 LaLiga EA Sports games and struck 11. He was named player of the month for March and, at season’s end, the league’s best under-23, finishing as Levante’s top scorer.
Espí departs with 66 senior appearances and 20 goals for Levante. He has represented Spain at under-19 and under-20 level.
