Carlos Miguel will go into the Campeonato Paulista semi-final in form for Palmeiras after starring in the 2-1 Brasileirão win over Fluminense on Wednesday. He is still unbeaten at home for the club.
Globo.com notes he is now their first-choice goalkeeper. Since late 2025 he has played 12 home matches across Allianz Parque and Arena Crefisa Barueri, winning eight and drawing four.
All five of his defeats have come away or at neutral venues, including the Conmebol Libertadores final against Flamengo.
Against Fluminense he made six saves, two classed as difficult. He downplayed suggestions it was his best display, saying every match feels new and the focus is now on producing another big performance.
He added that he feels good, is progressing and intends to keep evolving for many years.
Carlos Miguel has 23 appearances for Palmeiras, closing on Corinthians' 26 as the most he has managed at any club. He is chasing his first trophy with Palmeiras. On Sunday they face São Paulo at 20:30 Brasília time at Arena Crefisa Barueri for a place in the Paulista final.
