Carlos Monteiro taunts former Benfica man Rocha after title win over Sporting, saying it is different here

According to Glorioso 1904, Benfica winger Carlos Monteiro used the title celebrations after beating Sporting to aim a dig at Rocha, a Sporting player who represented Benfica from 2021 to 2024.

Benfica clinched the crown with a 4-3 win in the fifth and deciding play-off match at Pavilhão da Luz, revalidating last season's national title.

Monteiro posted a celebratory photo on social media captioned "Aqui é diferente". The message came in response to an earlier remark by Rocha on a post from Ivan Chishkala when Sporting won the Champions League.

The post quickly sparked reaction from both fanbases, extending the fierce rivalry beyond the final whistle.

The triumph delivered Benfica's 10th national futsal title and their first successful title defence in 18 years.
