According to Diario Vasco, Real Sociedad midfielder Carlos Soler and influencer Marta Marchena held the baptism of their first child on Saturday in Seville. The family ceremony took place at the Iglesia Parroquial de Santa Marta, a Mudejar-style church in the centre of Los Molares.

Baby Martín wore an ivory christening gown with delicate lace and a matching bonnet. Marchena chose a white halter-neck ensemble, while Soler kept it classic in a dark tailored suit, white shirt and a patterned blue tie.

Guests received keepsakes, including bookmarks dated 6 June 2026 with a devotional message. There were also prayer cards and a small charm featuring a blue cross.

The liturgy was marked by personalised touches, among them a silver baptismal shell engraved with the baby’s initials and a white lace cloth embroidered with his full name and the date. The parents added a dedication wishing that faith accompany, protect and guide him always.

The occasion comes during a settled spell for Real Sociedad’s number 18. Fatherhood has shaped his season, with a heartfelt celebration nine days after Martín’s birth when he scored a decisive goal against Mallorca following a photo from his partner of the baby in La Real colours.

He has embraced his first season in San Sebastián, feeling at home at the club. Back in Seville, where he lifted the Copa del Rey with Real Sociedad, the midfielder underlined a strong moment on and off the pitch at the Reale Arena.
