Jorge Carrascal lit up a hometown futsal game in Cartagena, bending in an audacious lob as his holiday draws to a close.
According to Coluna Do Fla, the Flamengo midfielder, born in the city, clipped the ball over the keeper even with the angle narrowed.
His appearance at a local tournament packed the court, youngsters flocking to watch the Libertadores champion amid a festive scene that included fireworks.
Asked by local media if he already has the money to buy Real Cartagena, his boyhood club, he underlined his devotion. He said he always visits friends when back, remains a genuine supporter, and still follows the team in Colombia’s second division.
After Flamengo’s Libertadores triumph, Carrascal has become a local icon in Cartagena. The Bolívar state government has promised to build a stadium bearing his name in the near future, and he has received tributes from local politicians.
