Carrillo granted extra leave, ‘to report’ to Corinthians on 29 June | OneFootball

Corinthians resume training at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava on Thursday after the World Cup break. Carrillo has been granted extended leave and is expected back on 29 June, while Memphis Depay is at the tournament with the Netherlands.

"On 25 June, who will not be present? Memphis Depay and Carrillo. He negotiated with us to report a little later because his work was extended. He should arrive on 29. Everyone else reports on 25," he told Identidade Corinthiana.

Carrillo played 56 minutes in Peru’s win over Haiti on 5 June in Miami, then 28 minutes in a 3-1 defeat to Spain on 8 June in Puebla. The fixtures prepared World Cup sides, while Peru continue towards the 2028 Copa América.

His last Corinthians appearance was on 30 March, a 3-1 win at Grêmio in Porto Alegre in the 18th round of the Brasileiro. He came on in the second half and played eight minutes.

Corinthians face FC Cascavel on 12 July at Estádio Olímpico Regional in Paraná during their build-up. The next competitive match is against Remo on 23 July at 19:30 at Neo Química Arena in the Brasileirão.

Signed in 2024, the 35-year-old midfielder has 96 appearances, six assists and three goals for the club, and has lifted the Campeonato Paulista, the 2025 Copa do Brasil and the 2026 Supercopa do Brasil.
