Kerstin Casparij is set to make her 100th Manchester City appearance in our WSL clash with Aston Villa.

The Netherlands international has been selected in Andrée Jeglertz’s starting line-up against the Villans at the Joie Stadium today, with kick-off scheduled for 12:00 (UK).

Since joining the Club in July 2022, the flying fullback has cemented her status as one of the Blues most integral players throughout her previous 99 outings for City.

Those displays have also translated onto the international stage with the right-back included in the Netherlands’ squad for the 2023 World Cup and 2025 Euros during her time in Manchester.

Across her first two City campaigns, Casparij totalled over 50 appearances and helped us match our best-ever Barclays Women’s Super League points tally in 2023/24.

Her first City goal then came the season after when she found the net in the Club’s 2-0 UEFA Women’s Champions League win over St Polten in December 2024.

Shortly after netting for the first time in sky blue, the 25-year-old committed her future to the club when extending her stay until the summer of 2027.

And perhaps no player has flourished as much as Casparij since the appointment of Jeglertz before the current campaign, with the defender continuing her fine form as a right-wing-back across 2025/26.

So far this season, she has started all our WSL matches, scored two goals and registered four assists while also wearing the captain’s armband in the absence of the injured Alex Greenwood.

And this has seen her claim her first Etihad Player of the Month award when her stellar displays in November were rewarded with the prestigious prize.
