La Gazzetta dello Sport reports Bologna striker Santiago Castro is open to joining Inter in the summer, but the Nerazzurri need at least €40m to sign ‘El Torito.’
Bologna star Castro has prioritised a move to Inter in the 2025 summer transfer window, according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
The promising Argentinean forward has already been compared to his compatriot Lautaro Martinez due to his technical and physical skill sets and his ruthlessness in front of the goal.

According to the report, Inter are Castro’s primary option for next season, but Inter are aware they’ll have to pay at least €40m to sign the 20-year-old at the end of the season.
Gazzetta, however, claims that the Nerazzurri have a few options to lower Bologna’s asking price.
One is through Giovanni Fabbian, a Bologna midfielder for whom the Nerazzurri have a €12m buy-back option. Cancelling the clause would allow Inter to lower Castro’s price.
Likewise, Krjstian Asllani remains a target of the Rossoblu, so the Albania international could also be included in the deal.
Castro recently received his first Argentina call-up. This season, he has scored eight goals and provided five assists in 29 Serie A matches.
