The club said in a statement that Roberto Codina Fortea had died at 83, expressing deep sorrow.
Condolences were offered to his family and friends. He was described as much loved by everyone at the old San Fernando.

At the Gala de l’Esport 2025, he received a deserved award at the club’s initiative.
The club’s home and daily life will not be the same without him, and the message ended with a wish for him to rest in peace.
