CD Castellón expand singing section as Fondo Sur Bajo joins Fondo 1922 | OneFootball

CD Castellón are expanding their singing section at Castalia for the new season, targeting an even stronger home atmosphere.

The club said in a post that all of the Fondo Sur Bajo will now be part of Fondo 1922.

The move follows a formidable campaign at Castalia.

Under Pablo Hernández, Castellón fell just short of the play-off final after an outstanding season built on home form.

In the regular season they recorded 13 wins, two draws and only three defeats at Castalia, finishing as the fourth best home side, level with Málaga.

The expansion concentrates the most vocal support in one area and seeks to deepen the bond between team and fans.

Membership is framed as more than a season ticket, with constant backing from first to last minute expected inside the section.

With greater capacity and visibility, Fondo 1922 is set to play a bigger role as Castellón look to keep Castalia a fortress.
