Last week marked a decade since the foundation of Manchester City Women’s Official Supporters Club (MCWFC OSC).

During this time, the branch has grown to become one of the Club’s largest OSCs, with more than 400 members creating a welcoming community which follows the Women’s team home and away.

Their support has helped build the atmosphere at the Joie Stadium and on the road, while also giving fans a voice through regular meetings with the Club.

In doing so, the branch has played an important role in growing the Women’s team since its professional establishment in 2014 and has inspired a new generation of City fans.

To celebrate the anniversary, MCWFC OSC held a special event at the City Football Academy for the branch to come together to reflect on an amazing ten years.

Present at the event were Club Historian Gary James and former Club Captain Steph Houghton, who praised the group for their fantastic support, especially at the beginning when Manchester City Women was in its early years.

Earlier in the month, the branch was given a heroes’ welcome at the Manchester Derby as they proudly walked onto the pitch to display their own custom banner before the 3-0 win.

And in a series of special interviews, the Club sat down with some of the Branch’s Management Committee to reflect on the past decade, and talk through some of their favourite memories.

From some of the first European away matches against Lyon, to playing the drum outside the Joie Stadium during matches in the pandemic, there have been many memorable moments for the branch.

Everyone at Manchester City would like to wish a huge thank you to Jayne Comer, Sarah Bland (Blandie), Jude Morris-King, Dave Sheel, and the whole Official Supporters Club for a wonderful decade of unwavering support.
