Fer Lopez has enjoyed a resurgence back at Celta Vigo, and with Wolves preparing a summer reset for the Championship, the £19m winger’s next step could be away from Molineux.
Celta sporting director Marco Garces said: “From our perspective, it’s up to us to make every possible effort.” He told DAZN.
“To try and find those options, get creative, and explore possibilities until the summer is over.”
Lopez joined from Celta last summer but managed only 12 appearances for Wolves, with two Premier League starts and two in the EFL Cup, before a late January loan took him back to Spain.
Back in La Liga he has featured 20 times and scored twice, including a stunning outside-of-the-foot strike in the Europa League. He has helped Celta into the Conference League places, and they are still pushing for a Europa League spot.
The winger signed a five-year contract on arrival, leaving four years remaining. With Wolves set for a summer clear-out as they rebuild for life in the Championship, his future could lie away from Molineux.
