An in-form Pilgrims pair are wanted north of the border by a Scottish giant
As far as recent form goes in League One, Plymouth Argyle have been one of the teams on an upward trajectory in recent weeks and months, consigning their shocking start to the season to the history books.
When it comes to the last 10 games in the third tier, the Pilgrims sit third in those particular standings, which is testament to the turnaround job that Tom Cleverley has done in charge at Home Park.
After 15 matches of 2025-26, Argyle were rock-bottom of the league and had lost 10 matches by that point, putting Cleverley's job in severe jeopardy - 10 wins since then though and 33 points out of a possible 54 has actually put the Devon outfit in play-off contention.
And if they end up making in into the division's top six, a lot of thanks will have to go to striker pairing Lorent Tolaj and Aribim Pepple, who have been utterly prolific in recent weeks.

Plymouth snagged Tolaj from League One rivals Port Vale for £1.2 million in the summer, having scored 14 times in League Two last season as well as providing eight assists, and with 14 goals from his 26 third tier outings this season, the Swiss attacker is proving to be one of the divisions leading marksmen.
Joining him in a rich vein of form at the top end of the pitch is Aribim Pepple, whose initial £250,000 move from Luton Town this past summer got off to a slow start, with just one goal from his first 13 league appearances.
The forward has burst into life though in recent weeks, with eight goals in his last 11 league outings - that run of form has put the 23-year-old on the radar of many clubs - including Scottish giants Celtic.
As per a report from Simon Jones of the Daily Mail, Pepple is now wanted by the Hoops ahead of the summer window, with the hierarchy at Celtic Park believing they could bag a 'bargain' deal in a few months time.
It is claimed that Celtic are 'leading' the chase for not only Pepple, but Tolaj too, with the report saying that Martin O'Neill's side want BOTH forwards thanks to their performances for Plymouth.
In the case of Pepple though, there is plenty of interest. Turkish Super Lig outfit Gozpete are one of the sides keen, whilst MLS duo Minnesota United and Montreal - based in Canada, who he is eligible to play for internationally - are also said to be in the hunt.

With Tolaj and Pepple being 24 and 23 years old respectively, there's still development left in the pair, and they're showing exactly what they can do when given the service - or by creating it between them.
Naturally, the question will be whether they can do it in the Championship, but the top flight of Scottish football could be somewhat of a happy medium.
It's proving competitive this season, with Hearts now challenging for honours as opposed to just Rangers and Celtic, but the lower ends of the league somewhat leave a lot to be desired in terms of quality.
Heading to a club like Celtic for one of Pepple or Tolaj could be a good learning curve or stepping stone for even better things, but despite both featuring and scoring regularly for Plymouth, that's not guaranteed to happen if they both signed for the Hoops together - they could end up battling for minutes instead.
