Kasper Schmeichel has loved the emotion of winning his first trophy victory for Celtic so much the Great Dane has posted three times on the platform about the outcome of the result since Sunday evening.

Schmeichel said: “No better feeling in football. This is what the club is all about!” He continued, “magical night, love this team!” Whilst posting yesterday morning, “happy Monday Celts,” posing with a picture of himself and the trophy.

Greg the redeemer Taylor scored the all-important leveller for the Hoops in the second-half. He took to Instagram to say, “rollercoaster of a day, same outcome.”

United States internationals Cameron-Carter Vickers and Auston Trusty used the site to voice their delight. CCV wrote, “what a feeling, got there in the end,” meanwhile his fellow centre-back partner Auston Trusty simply put, “CHAMPIONS.” Second-half substitute Adam Idah likewise to Trusty captioned his post, “champions,” whilst displaying a team photo in the dressing room post-match of the celebrations.

It was an inaugural trophy win for Celtic’s record-breaking signing Arne Engels, and the Belgian conveyed his thoughts, “amazing feeling to win my first trophy with this beautiful club.”

Second-half goalscorers Nicolas Kuhn and Daizen Maeda dedicated the victory to their fanatical followers on Instagram, “what a night, thanks for the unbelievable support,” posted Kuhn. Whilst Daizen shared a similar message, “thank you for your wonderful support.”

Portuguese playmaker Paulo Bernardo may have used expletives which we’ll remove, but we can let him off as his message was a touch of class – “what a club. So proud to be a part of this. 119.”

Bernardo’s midfield partner Reo Hatate apologised in his post with the 27 year-old saying, “thank you for the great support. Sorry for kissing trophy.”

On-loan Spanish left-back Alex Valle has really bought into the club since arriving from Barcelona in the summer, and his message post-match exemplified these sentiments.

He said, “amazing night I will never forget. What an honour to win my first professional trophy with this club. Thanks to the fans for their unconditional support and to my family and friends who are always there for me, you and the rest. Let’s go for more Bhoys!”

Anthony Ralston claimed yet more silverware for his boyhood club on Sunday night, and he took to Instagram late last night to say, “champions! What a feeling.”

Boss Brendan Rodgers has given the players a few days to recover before heading to Tannadice on Sunday to face Dundee United. Cameron Carter-Vickers, Stephen Welsh, Adam Idah, Greg Taylor, Liam Scales and Arne Engels were all pictured at Alexandra Palace in London last night enjoying the World Darts Championship, trolling theRangers fans with that 119 message.
