Celtic face St Mirren this afternoon in the Scottish Premiership. Martin O’Neill’s team lines will be confirmed shortly and it remains to be seen who the Irishman goes for in attack.

After the win at Dens Park, O’Neill will be pondering whether to start match winner Kelechi Iheanacho or to persist with Tomas Cvancara. The Czech forward struggled at Dens but did have a number of chances, showing he can get himself in the right positions.

Vil Sinisalo will start in goals.

Auston Trusty and Liam Scales will start in the heart of the defence with Kieran Tierney and Anthony Ralston. The Scotland International comes into the team given the injury to teammate Colby Donovan. There’s an outside chance Marcelo Saracchi starts at left back as KT looked jaded towards the end of the game last weekend and the energetic Uruguayan provided width and directness from the bench.

Callum McGregor will start in the middle of the park with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Benji Nygren. Reo Hatate and Luke McCowan will be itching to play their part from the bench.

In attack, expect Daizen Maeda and Yang to continue out wide with Kelechi Iheanacho leading the line. Cvancara, Seb Tounekti and James Forrest will all be vying to get on the pitch and make an impact too.

Arne Engels, Callum Osmand and Alistair Johnston are working their way back to fitness and if the trio can get themselves back for the post-split fixtures then Celtic will be in a brighter position.
