Celtic and Motherwell go head-to-head in the Scottish Premiership at Celtic Park on Saturday.
Celtic are currently in second position in the table with 58 points in 29 matches, five points behind league leaders Hearts, while Motherwell sits at fourth in the table with 53 points in the same number of matches.
Martin O’Neill is again managing without several long-term absentees, with centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers and Jota effectively ruled out for the remainder of the campaign following an Achilles tendon injury and a cruciate ligament injury that is not expected to heal fully before the summer.
Right-back Alistair Johnston and young forward Callum Osmand are also sidelined until late March due to their hamstring issues.
Auston Trusty is suspended. Adam Montgomery, Arne Engels, and Callum McGregor are also unavailable for this match, and Kasper Schmeichel remains doubtful.
Eseosa Sule, Zach Robinson, John Koutroumbis, Callum Hendry, Regan Charles-Cook and Matthew Connelly are all out of this match due to their respective injury concerns.
Stephen Welsh will not play in this match due to his on-loan terms from Celtic.
Towanda Maswanhise is set to lead the line once again for Motherwell. He currently leads the Scottish Premiership goalscoring chart with 16 goals in 26 matches. He will be supported by Elijah Just and Ibrahim Said through the flanks.
Celtic have shown solid but slightly inconsistent form in recent weeks while remaining near the top of the Scottish Premiership table. They have recorded several positive results recently, including wins against Aberdeen and Stuttgart, along with draws against Rangers in league and cup fixtures.
Their most recent high-profile match ended in a goalless draw against Rangers before Celtic advanced 4–2 on penalties in the Scottish Cup quarter-final. Despite one league defeat to Hibernian in the last few matches, Celtic continues to maintain a strong attacking output and remains among the league’s highest-scoring sides with over 50 goals this season. Overall, they have won four of their last six league games.
Motherwell recently lost to Dundee FC away (1-2), but they are still well inside the top four and challenging the teams above them. They are sitting just four points behind Rangers in the league table. Before the setback against Dundee FC, they were unbeaten in the league in nine straight matches with six wins and three draws.

Motherwell: Ward; O’Donnell, McGinn, Gordon, Longelo; Priestman, Watt; Said, Just, Slattery; Maswanhise
