Leicester City chairman Aiyawatt 'Top' Srivaddhanaprabha says the bond between players and supporters has strengthened since Gary Rowett’s appointment less than two weeks ago, framing the run-in as a battle to stay in the division before Norwich City visit the King Power.

City have drawn both matches under Rowett and remain in the relegation zone with 12 to play. Protests are planned today against King Power’s management of the club.

Writing in his programme notes, Srivaddhanaprabha said Rowett would bring deep Championship know-how and valuable experience for the final 12 fixtures, which he characterised as a fight for survival.

He added that Rowett’s influence had already been evident, pointing to improved displays and two hard-earned points from testing trips to Stoke City and Middlesbrough.

The chairman said those steps had also rebuilt the connection between the team and the fanbase. He thanked the travelling support and looked forward to the side building on those gains in front of home fans, whose backing can energise the stadium.
