With a brace to overturn Olympique de Marseille (2-1), Kylian Mbappé has etched his name even deeper into Champions League history.

The French international netted his 56th and 57th goals in the competition. He has surpassed former Bayern star Thomas Müller and ex-Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy, becoming the sixth-highest scorer in the history of the tournament.

As a reminder, only three players have managed to break the 100-goal barrier in the Champions League: Cristiano Ronaldo (140 goals), Lionel Messi (129), and Robert Lewandowski (105).
