The Champions League returns on Tuesday with four play-off first legs taking place. Manchester City hosting Real Madrid is the pick of the fixtures, and here Squawka, we’ve compiled our best Champions League acca tips for the evening’s proceedings. Check out our 4-fold that weighs in at 15/1 on Tuesday, 11th February
Brest will have been disappointed to draw Paris Saint-Germain and just after that draw was made the pair met in Ligue 1. The Parisians came out 5-2 winners in that game with Ousmane Dembele scoring a hat-trick and Goncalo Ramos coming off the bench to bag a brace. PSG also won 3-1 at home when the sides met earlier in the campaign and can come out on top again in this 5:45pm kick-off.
Manchester City’s frailties were once again exposed on Saturday, this time by Leyton Orient. With Matheus Nunes at right-back and a potential midfield of Bernardo Silva and Mateo Kovacic, I think the visitors can take a lead back to Madrid. All is not well on the blue side of Manchester at the moment and Carlo Ancelotti’s side look a massive price against a City team who were beaten 5-1 by Arsenal on their latest Premier League outing.
Juventus and PSG faced off in the group stage, with the hosts winning 3-1 in Turin. It’s not been the greatest season so far for the Italian giants, but the loan signing of Kolo Muani has bolstered hope for the second half of the campaign. Muani has already scored five goals in just three matches and his presence could be the difference between the two sides on Tuesday.
The final leg in our Champions League acca tips is for Sporting Lisbon to win against Borussia Dortmund. Rui Borges is now Sporting CP’s third manager of the season, stepping in after Ruben Amorim’s move to Manchester United and a short-lived stint by Joao Pereira, who was dismissed. Since taking over, Borges has managed to steady the ship, leading the team to 5 wins, 4 draws, and just 1 loss. Dortmund have lost three of their last four away matches and Sporting have won six of their last eight at home.
