He made his mark yet again during the Citizens’ 2-0 away win over Villarreal on Tuesday night in the Champions League. By scoring the opening goal, Erling Haaland matched a historic record set by Cristiano Ronaldo. The Manchester City striker has now scored in 12 consecutive matches across all competitions. Even at the start of this season, Haaland has tallied 22 goals in just 12 games, with 24 goals and 3 assists in all competitions.

While CR7 set the bar incredibly high, Haaland seems well on his way to surpassing it and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible even further.
