Kylian Mbappé
On Wednesday night, Kylian Mbappé didn't just net four goals against Olympiacos. The French striker moved closer to a record held by Egyptian star Mohamed Salah.
Last night, Real Madrid struggled on Olympiacos' turf (3-4) before finally clinching victory thanks to a four-goal haul from Kylian Mbappé. But it was above all his hat-trick, scored in just 6 minutes and 42 seconds (22nd, 24th, 29th minutes), that truly caught the eye.
This is now the second-fastest hat-trick in Champions League history, behind Mohamed Salah's 6 minutes and 12 seconds for Liverpool against Rangers (7-1) in 2022, and ahead of Bafétimbi Gomis' 8 minutes and 45 seconds for Olympique Lyonnais against Dinamo Zagreb (7-1) in 2016.
