Inter Milan beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in a mouth-watering UEFA Champions League showdown last night but failed to secure a top-eight finish.
According to Calcio e Finanza via FCInter1908, the Nerazzurri have already made a substantial profit from their European campaign.
Despite winning five of their eight league-phase outings, Inter will have to take a longer route and navigate the dreaded playoff round.
However, Cristian Chivu can draw confidence from his side’s superb form at the beginning of the new calendar year.
Indeed, the San Siro giants have won six of their eight competitive games in 2026 so far.

No matter the result in the upcoming playoffs, Inter will have earned around €71 million from their Champions League participation.
Despite missing out on an automatic last-16 spot, knockout qualification entitles the Nerazzurri to €10 million bonus.
Furthermore, they’ve already taken home approximately €61 million for featuring in the tournament.
Meanwhile, the profits will soar if Chivu’s men manage to advance from the playoff round.
