Vlahovic’s resurgence has been one of the bright points in Juventus’ campaign so far. After a difficult previous year marked by injuries and inconsistency, the 25-year-old has rediscovered his sharpness in front of goal, reminding Europe’s elite of his potential as a top-level finisher. However, with his current contract approaching its final stretch, the situation is delicate.
Juventus are expected to open talks over an extension before the end of the year, but insiders suggest that Vlahovic is weighing his options carefully. The Turin club, navigating financial limitations and a period of rebuilding, are conscious that losing him for free in the summer would be a major setback. Much could depend on whether the player sees his long-term future in Serie A — or whether the lure of England’s top flight becomes irresistible.
Chelsea’s interest in Vlahovic stretches back several windows. Despite having invested heavily in attacking talent, Maresca’s side still lack a consistent source of goals. Vlahovic’s combination of strength, movement and finishing ability fits the mould of a classic Premier League forward, and the Blues are believed to have maintained contact with his representatives in recent weeks.

Tottenham, meanwhile, are also assessing their striking options following the sale of Harry Kane to Bayern Munich last year. While Son Heung-min has adapted well to a central role under Thomas Frank, Spurs remain keen to add a recognised No 9 to their ranks. Vlahovic’s profile aligns with the club’s recruitment vision — a proven European striker still approaching his prime, with room for growth under Premier League conditions.
Financially, Tottenham could find competition fierce if Chelsea push aggressively, but Vlahovic’s preference for regular football may play a decisive role. Juventus would likely demand a fee in the region of £60–70 million should they agree to part ways mid-season.
While Juventus seek to secure Vlahovic’s future, the club are also evaluating potential outgoing moves elsewhere in attack. Canadian striker Jonathan David has failed to convince since his arrival from Lille, and there is growing acceptance within the Juventus hierarchy that a January departure could benefit all parties.
David has suitors in both Serie A and abroad, but his inconsistent form has limited his market value. Should he leave, Juventus may reinvest in a young forward, with Alisson Santos of Sporting Lisbon among those being monitored. However, the priority remains resolving Vlahovic’s situation — either through renewal or sale.
Beyond Vlahovic, Chelsea and Tottenham are among several Premier League clubs maintaining strong scouting presences in Italy. Both clubs have long identified Serie A as fertile ground for technically polished forwards capable of adapting to English football’s intensity.
Juventus’ upcoming decisions could therefore shape the mid-season market. Should Vlahovic become available, a transfer battle between two of London’s biggest clubs could define the January window — and reshape the forward lines at Stamford Bridge and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium alike.
