According to an update from Caught Offside, Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado has become the latest name to draw serious interest from the Premier League, with both Arsenal and Chelsea reportedly exploring the possibility of signing him in January.
Sources suggest that Barcelona could consider offers in the range of €30–35 million, but as things stand, the Catalan club remains calm and fully in control of Casado’s future.
The current sentiment inside the Camp Nou is that the club will only entertain negotiations if the offer genuinely benefits their long-term sporting project.
It is believed that Chelsea have shown stronger intent so far, especially after they had already discussed Casado’s name during their failed attempt to sign Fermin Lopez earlier this summer.
While the Club World Cup winners had an offer for Fermin rejected, Barcelona’s stance with Casado remains measured that they are not actively looking to sell.
However, they are aware that strong market demand can sometimes be used strategically to ease financial constraints and maintain Financial Fair Play compliance.

Casado has long been viewed within La Masia as one of the club’s most disciplined and tactically intelligent young midfielders.
Though he is yet to establish himself as an undisputed starter, his maturity, positioning sense, and leadership in Barça Atletic have caught the attention of several top European clubs.
From Barcelona’s point of view, this growing interest is simply proof of how effectively the academy continues to produce players who appeal to elite teams across Europe.
The club sees Casado as an important squad player for the future, but the decision will ultimately depend on the sporting project and the player’s own ambitions.
If the Premier League giants come calling, it will not be Barcelona chasing the deal.
Rather, it will be Europe’s top clubs once again recognising the extraordinary talent developed in La Masia.
