Chelsea have announced that Raheem Sterling has departed the club by mutual consent.
Sterling joined the Blues in 2022 from Manchester City, playing 38 times in all competitions for the club in his debut campaign and 43 times the following season.
But he fell out of favour at the club and spent last season on loan at Arsenal.
“We thank Raheem for the contribution he made while a Chelsea player and wish him well for the next stage in his career,” Chelsea said in a statement.
More departures at Chelsea are also likely to follow before the end of the January transfer window.
Axel Disasi could leave, with the French defender having also fallen out of favour at the club, and is attracting interest from both the Premier League and Europe.
Tyrique George’s future also remains uncertain, with the youngster having played just 11 times this season.
Striker David Datro Fofana is likely to depart on a permanent deal, meanwhile, after being recalled from his loan spell at Fatih Karagümrük.
