Chelsea midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is in the north west today for the first part of his Everton medical, according to The Athletic journalist Patrick Boyland.
Everton are expected to pay £25 million for the former Leicester City star as they look to bolster their midfield options.
The 26-year-old would become their fifth summer signing following earlier deals for Charly Alcaraz, Thierno Barry, Mark Travers and Adam Aznou.
Dewsbury-Hall will be a direct replacement for Abdoulaye Doucoure, who left the Toffees at the end of last season after both parties could not agree on the terms of a contract extension.
Everton were also hoping to seal a deal for Tyler Dibling, but Southampton want a total package worth £50m and a 25 percent sell-on clause.
Toffees manager David Moyes wants at least five more players after Dewsbury-Hall joins, and the owners – The Friedkin Group (TFG) – are ready to back him in the transfer market.
The Englishman started just twice in the Premier League last season, but he was a regular in the Europa Conference League.
He brings plenty of experience and quality to the table, having also featured regularly in the English top-flight with Leicester City.
Dewsbury-Hall has never played for England, and a move to Everton could boost his chances if he hits the ground running when the 2025-26 campaign starts.
England manager Thomas Tuchel will continue to monitor players as he looks to strengthen his options ahead of the World Cup in 2026.
